Im specifically looking for a penciler that can draw anime/manga style that can draw very basic 3 sided character sheets and some head positions (ex. [link] )
THE WAY IT WORKS: All sketches are vectored into the animation software where I can add what are called bones to move the characters (popular animations similar to this style of animation are Metalocalypse, Stoked, both of which can be googled and youtubed for examples). So basically once a character is vectored into the software, they can be manipulated without having to draw frame by frame. I plan on doing some on-location photo references for creating more realistic enviroments, but I am not opposed to finding someone interested in doing painted backgrounds (as long as the art matches stylistically)
PROJECTS: I will eventually be animating both projects.
Crown of the Eclipse: target demographic young adult female, art style dark and cutsey (an animation designed for cosplay and merchandising), setting 8th graders with angels and demons.
Monolith: target demographic young adult male, art style violently artsy (bloody sword fights and monstrous creatures), setting fantasy (pirates/ninjas/sharks oh my). This animation is planned to be more of a motion comic with subtle things animating along with camera movements, this will allow more detail to be animated to maximize the desired artistic quality. This project will probably require a little more from the penciler than the other project.
I have many examples of things I have done with the software for the various projects already in my gallery. Ive been working on these projects for a while now by myself, but unfortunately my forte has always been audio/music while my drawing skill isnt up to par for the quality of project that I wish to have. (lots of trouble with offset head shots and "action" poses, for examples of my music please visit [link] ).
A wise person once said Great projects dont take a lucky break, just a whole lot of hard work. I hope to hear from some of you soon!
